It’s that time of year again! There are so many events to choose from already – and I’ll continue to add them as they come up. Times listed for individual events are start times – arriving early to account for parking and registration, etc. is encouraged. These events tend to be crowded!
Pictures with Peter Cottontail will be held at the Municipal Annex on Friday, March 16 from 4p-7p and Saturday, March 17 from 10:30a-12:30p. Registration is required.
Breakfast with the Bunny will take place on Saturday, March 31 from 9a-10:30a at The Village Squire. Crafts and coloring will be available as well as a photo op. The Spring Egg Hunt will start at noon sharp that same day at Kenyon Woods. The bunny will not be in attendance this year.
Lunch with Thumper at Village Tavern & Grill of South Elgin will take place on Saturday, March 31 from 11a-2p. Bring your cameras for a photo op.
On Friday, March 30 hop on over to Epic Air Trampoline Park for the Toddler Time Easter Egg Hunt from 8a – 10a. This event is for children who are walking through age 6.
The Taylor Family YMCA is hosting an Easter Egg Dip on Saturday, March 17 at 12p. Over 1,000 eggs in the pool, prizes for all, cookie decorating and pictures with the bunny. Tickets are required.
The Easter Bunny is hippity-hopping on over to Nick’s Pizza & Pub on Saturday, March 24 and Sunday, March 25. Three different check-in times are available on both dates and the cost includes one kid’s meal, Egg Scavenger Hunt, craft, candy and photos with the bunny. Everything on the menu is available to order as well. Follow the links to purchase your tickets – space is limited.
Danny’s on Douglas is also hosting their Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 24 at 11a.
Come to the Geneva Commons this month for Easter Bunny Visits and Photos. On Saturdays, March 24 & 31 and Sunday, March 25 the bunny will be strolling from 12:30p-1:30p and garden visits (near Learning Express) are slated from 2p-5p.
At Stephen D. Persinger Recreation Center the Bunny Breakfast and Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, March 24. The egg hunt will begin at 10a sharp and there are two seatings for breakfast – 8:15a before the hunt and 10:15a immediately after the hunt. Advance registration is required.
The Chapelstreet Church is hosting an Easter Eggstravaganza at its Keslinger Road campus on Saturday, March 17 at 9a. There will be a scavenger hunt to find over 15,000 candy filled eggs, drawings for prizes, an interactive Easter experience and much more family fun. Children with special needs and their siblings can enjoy a calmer environment from 11a-12p that same day.
For older kids (ages 10-16) Geneva is holding an Egg-mazing Race and Night Egg Hunt on Friday, March 23 from 5:30p-7:30p at Wheeler Park. Teams of 4 will compete to win prizes, including gift certificates to local businesses.
Bring your flashlight and your sense of adventure for a nighttime Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt on Friday, March 23 at 7p at Hickory Knolls Discovery Center. For ages 3+. Advance registration is required.
The annual Park District Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, March 24 at 10a at Pottawatomie Park.
Are your furry friends looking to get in on the Easter festivities? A Doggie Egg Hunt is scheduled for Saturday, March 24 at 2p at James O. Breen Community Park. Several pet friendly vendors will be on-site as well. Dogs must be leashed and wearing tags. Registration is required.
If you prefer your bunny comes to you, St. Charles is offering Easter Bunny Home Visits on Saturday, March 24 from 11:30a-4p for a fee. Photo op with bunny and chocolate treat included in price.
A little further down the bunny trail in Wasco, The Lodge on 64 will be hosting a Lunch with the Easter Bunny on Saturday, March 24 from 12p-3p. A few days later, head back to The Lodge for Kid’s Easter Egg Decorating from 12p-3p. For $15, each child will receive 4 eggs to decorate, supplies and a kid’s meal. Reservations are required.
The Batavia Park District will be having their Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 24 at 10a (meet at pavilion at 9:45a) at West Main Park Shelter. Heads up, parking is limited so arrive early and carpool if possible. Participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food item or paper product for donation to the Batavia Food Pantry.
Downtown Batavia is getting in on the fun, too with their Downtown Batavia Egg Hop 2018 on Saturday, March 31 from 10a-1p. The free family fun includes music, games, activities, and eggs hidden around downtown filled with treats and prizes.
The Elburn Lion’s are hosting their annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 24 at 9:30a at Lions Park. Photos with the bunny and refreshments will be provided.
Heritage Prairie Farm is also getting in on the fun with their Annual Easter Egg Hunt scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 31 promptly at 11a. The children will be divided into two groups according to age. There will also be a variety of family friendly activities and farm animals.
Kane County Country Market is hosting a Free Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 24 from 10a-12p. Coloring eggs followed by the hunt at 11a. Kids will be separated into groups depending on age.
Blackberry Farm is hosting a Flashlight Egg Hunt on Thursday, March 29 at 6:30p. This event is for children age 9-13 and parents need not stick around. Hayrides, dancing, games, prizes and food! Sounds like a blast!
Airtastic’s 7th Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, March 17 at 9a and Sunday, March 18 at 10a. The bunny will be on hand for pictures. Advance registration is required – cost includes one hour of bouncing and the egg hunt.
Fox Valley Mall is hosting a Free Bunny Arrival Event on Saturday, March 10 at 11a-1p in Macy’s Court. The event includes craft, face painting, balloon twisting, treats and more and attendees will receive 10% off their Bunny Photo purchase. The bunny will be available for photos from March 9-31. Times vary by date, so please follow the link to double check. Photos are only available for purchase – no personal photos allowed. You can skip the line this year by pre-registering with Bunny FastPass.
Head on over to downtown Aurora for an Egg Hunt on the Island on Stolp Island. Activities include bunny visits and photos, trolley rides, crafts, chalk art and of course the egg hunt.
An Underwater Egg Hunt will be held at Vaughan Athletic Center on Saturday, March 17 at 9a. Ages 3-4 will be in the toddler splash area. Redeem the eggs you collect at the end to get your goodies. Tickets are required. The following week on Sunday, March 25, Vaughan will host an Egg-Streme Obstacle Egg Hunt from 1p-3p. For $10 ages 3 and up can compete in obstacle courses for prizes. Crafts, games and food as well!
A little further down the bunny trail, Grace Community Christian Church is hosting the All New Eggstravaganza on Saturday, March 24 at 10a. Breakfast buffet with the bunny, photos, egg hunt, music, raffles and more! Seating by reservation only.
A Community Egg Hunt will take place at New Song Community Church on Saturday, March 24 from 1p-3p. Egg hunt, inflatables, games and food – and it’s all free!
On Easter Sunday, April 1, Sky Zone will have an Easter Special from 11a-5p. Discounted rates, egg hunt and meet the Easter bunny.
The annual Naperville Jaycees Easter Egg Hunt will be on Saturday, March 31 at 8:55a at the Frontier Park Sports Complex. This is a free event, but monetary donations for the Naperville Jaycees are suggested as well as non-perishable food items for Loaves & Fishes.
Bring your pets and kids to Pet Supplies Plus on Ogden Avenue for Easter Pictures on Sunday, March 18 from 11a-2p. A $10 donation to benefit Pawsitive Impact Pet Rescue is requested.
Two Bostons Pet Boutique on W 75th Street will also be providing Pictures with the Easter Bunny for your pets and kids from 12p-3p. The Naperville Jaycees will be helping out and collecting donations for their food giving program.
Naperville Yard Indoor Sports Complex will hold their 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 31 at 9a. Egg hunt, play tower, inflatables and more!
The Naperville Junior Woman’s Club is hosting their Hoppy Easter Festival on Saturday, March 31 at 10a. Photo op with the bunny, vendor stations, egg hunt, petting zoo and more! Admission is a $10 donation per family as well as a non-perishable food item to benefit Loaves & Fishes.
An Easter Egg Hunt at Montgomery Park will take place on Saturday, March 24 at 10:30a-noon (arrive by 10a) at Montgomery Park 200 N. River Street. Face painting, refreshments, crafts and family activities as well!
Also, on Saturday, March 24 Schaefer’s Bunny Bash will be held at Schaefer Greenhouses, Inc. Call to make reservations from 9am-1pm – $10 per family. There are also free photos from 2p-4p, first come first served.
Cosley Zoo’s Busy Bunny Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, March 24 from 4p-5:30p. There are lots of fun activities planned including an egg dash for ages 2-10, crafts, animal visits, after-hours access to the zoo, and of course a visit with the bunny himself! Pre-purchased tickets are required.
Cantigny Park will be hosting a variety of fun Easter events on Saturday, March 31 from 9a-4p. The egg hunt will run continuously throughout the 7 hour span in an open house style and Mr. and Mrs. Bunny will be available for photo ops all day as well. You will also find Easter crafts, and USBORNE book fair and the movie “Hop” playing throughout the day. Parking costs $5/car.
The bunny will be holding court from March 10-31 at Spring Hill Mall in West Dundee. Times vary by date so follow the link to double check. The small print reads that the bunny takes short carrot breaks throughout his shift, so to be prepared in that event. (That made me laugh a little.)
